The Story Behind Another Hat
Larissa - the mother - has been passionate about knitting her entire life.
For years, she ran Happy Hats — a beloved brand of children’s headwear known to every cool mom around. Generations of kids grew up wearing her joyful, thoughtful designs, and Larissa’s creations became a highlight at trade shows across Latvia and Europe.
Alina - her daughter - has always been drawn to the world of visuals.
She studied cultural theory, worked in a gallery and a fashion brand, and attended the Gunars Binde Photo School — founded by one of Latvia’s most iconic photographers.
In 2018, she launched Slow Hands — a brand of hand-embroidered shirts that continues today through online orders and custom projects.
In 2021, Larissa decided to expand her craft to an adult audience — and that’s when the two joined forces. What began as a mother’s lifelong passion grew into a shared vision: a brand built on heritage, design, and heartfelt creativity.
